Covid-19 Safety Guidelines

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus continues to track news and collect information about the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) for the planning of all of our in-person events. We understand that these times are uncertain and strange for us all, and we thank you for your continued support and patronage. We look forward to sharing a bold season with you!

The JCC has been preparing for in-person events by sanitizing high-touch surfaces, implementing ventilation systems, and creating social distanced seating charts. We have also created some guidelines to keep our singers, staff, and any patrons safe in addition to the safety policies set by the event venues. The instructional model we are following comes from the American Choral Directors Association COVID-19 Response Committee and can be viewed in detail at www.acda.org as well as guidelines set by the CDC viewed here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/considerations-for-events-gatherings.

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus asks that you please follow the following health and safety guidelines when attending an in-person event:

  • Individuals (including staff, event hosts, and attendees) should not attend an in-person event if they — or anyone in their household — have been or are displaying any of the following symptoms:

    • Fever (100.4F or higher)

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    • Diarrhea

    • Chills

    • Repeated shaking with chills

    • Muscle pain

    • Headache

    • Sore throat

    • New loss of taste or smell

  • Masks are *required for all patrons two years and older (covering both your nose and mouth) to enter any venue that the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus will be performing in. The use of a face shield will only be permitted in combination with the wearing of a mask.

  • Utilize social distancing within large crowds by standing or sitting six feet apart. The event venue will have rows and specified seats blocked off. We kindly ask that you stay at your assigned seat number as marked on your ticket and be considerate of all other audience members.

  • Temperature checks will be required prior to entry of the event venue. (Temperature must read below 100.4)

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the lobby areas.

  • Refrain from high-fives, hand shakes, and hugs during duration of the event. We encourage fist-bumps, air-fives, and shining smiles.

  • All high-touch areas such as tables, door handles, seating, etc. will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each concert.

  • All staff and singers will have their temperature taken before entering the venue.

  • All staff members, singers and audience members will be required to wear masks for the entirety of the event.

*For the health and safety of all patrons, we ask that all individuals wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination record.
